Meet Our Team

Dr. Waneta Chenault

"I've known I wanted to be a dentist since early childhood (and go figure:  I grew up on a street named 'Colgate'...what a coincidence, right?!!).  Because I love human interaction, desired to be a healthcare provider, and enjoyed doing 'artsy' things with my hands, it didn't take much thought to realize that a career in dentistry would encompass all those things---a profession that would be rewarding to my soul.

I grew up in Lancaster, Texas, the only child of a hard-working machinist father who was an army MP that fell in love with my mother when he was stationed in Korea.  My parents did not have the means for higher education when they were growing up.  They worked very hard at giving me the life and opportunities that they never had.  They helped instill in me the ability to dream and accomplish anything that I set my mind to, and for that I am eternally grateful.

After graduating as top female student from Lancaster High School, I attended East Texas State University in preparation for my dental education.  I graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1997, and had the blessed opportunity to practice in a wonderful cosmetic family dental practice in Arlington, Texas.  After a few years, I decided that I wanted to settle into a nice quiet family-oriented area and open my own practice, which is what brought me to Highland Village in 2000.  My husband and I bought our first home in Flower Mound, and my practice in Highland Village was opened in April 2001. Over the years, I have had many wonderful opportunities ranging from lecturing about the latest technology in laser cavity detection and painless air abrasion cavity removal at the renowned annual Southwest Dental Conference, to giving oral health presentations at local schools (nothing is more rewarding than seeing a room full of eager kindergarteners tell me all about their recent visit by the Tooth Fairy)!

God has also blessed me with two daughters who are the absolute joys of my heart:  Lisa, who is seven years-old, and Kate, who is four years-old.  I have also been the mommy for the last eleven years to a rescued miniature schnauzer affectionately named Ernie.  I treasure time with my family, shopping for anything for my girls, going to the movies, racquetball, bass fishing with my dad, and eating my mom's home-cooked Korean food!"

Scott, Business Manager

"We are thrilled to announce our newest addition, Scott!  Scott graduated from East Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in radio/television and a minor in advertising/marketing.  His professional studies also include computer networking, which led him to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.  I am confident that Scott will be well-versed and integrated into all business aspects of our practice in no time.  He is very excited about shifting away from the corporate world, and is happily embracing his new role in our small and cozy practice.  Scott is anxious to be able to service people in an unhurried, pleasant atmosphere.  Scott shares the same philosophy regarding the care we provide:  we provide the same level of care to our patients as we would want for ourself or our own family.

Scott's interests include spending time with our family, playing World of Warcraft, playing the guitar, going to the movies, camping, and listening to '80s metal music."

Toileise, R.D.A.

"I have had the pleasure of having Toi (pronounced "toy") be my assistant extraordinaire for the past four years.  With over 18 years of experience, Toi has developed an extensive knowledge about dentistry.  Her assisting skills are exceptional and gentle, and she understands patients' concerns and does whatever is necessary to ensure our patience are completely comfortable and at-ease (yes, she will even tuck you in with a warmed, freshly laundered blanket and velour neck pillow, along with a headset set to the music of your choice)!  Her cross-expertise also includes all levels of office management and dental insurance claims.

Toi enjoys every aspect of dentistry, and strives to give each patient the absolute best experience they've ever had receiving dental care.  She achieves this by treating patients as if they are part of her family.  She is a true joy to be around, and I am extrememly blessed and honored to have her on my team."

Toi grew up in Connecticut and moved to Texas in 2001.  She has three boys:  Devin (aged 20), Avery, (aged 16), and Justin (aged 14).  Toi and Earl have been married for 23 years.

Susan, R.D.H.

"I am so excited to welcome our dental hygienist, Susan, to our team!   Susan joined our practice over the summer of 2010 and has been a true gift.  Susan's compassionate and gentle composure with years of experience has made her transition into our office simply 'seamless'.  I can't tell you how many times patients have personally informed me at the end of their cleaning appointment what a wonderful experience they had with Susan, and that they are looking forward to seeing her at their next cleaning!  Her heartfelt concern and drive to educate patients about how to care for and maintain a healthy smile in a positive manner sets her apart as extraordinary in her field.  Susan has always enjoyed her experience as a patient in dentistry, which helped fuel her desire to pursuit a career in dentistry.

Susan graduated dental hygiene school in 2002 from San Joaquin Valley College located in Visalia, California.  In 2006, she and her family relocated from California to Bartonville.  They fell in love with the beautiful country atmosphere, warm hospitality, and sense of community in this area.  Susan and her husband are the proud parents of a 16 year-old son attending Argyle High School, and four dogs named Hannah, Pork Chop, Goggie and their newest puppy, Yulia.  Susan also has a particular fondness of miniature schnauzers, and is a regular volunteer and 'foster mom' for the animals of the Coppell Humane Society.  She and her husband also enjoy being an international host family for high school exchange students.  Susan's other interests include keeping up with current information in dental hygiene through attending continuing education courses, exercising, camping, fishing, and traveling."
